About my education MSc in IT - Web Communication Design from SDU

I chose to pursue a Master's program in Web Communication that emphasizes the interplay between humans and information technology. The program provided me with a combination of high-level theoretical knowledge and practical challenges from the real world.

The program's common subjects focused on web-mediated communication and interaction, web formats and standards, user studies and evaluation of digital user interfaces, and organizational communication.

I chose to specialize in Web Communication with a focus on the use of, as well as communication about, and with information technology. During the program, I worked on developing communication and IT strategies and implementing web-based communication in organizational contexts.

The program also offered specializations in interaction design with a focus on the development and design of multimodal IT applications and interfaces, as well as web architecture with a focus on the construction and structuring of content and knowledge in IT systems and web applications.

Truck controller

As a team of 3 students, we worked together with a freight forwarding company to help make their back-end system easier to operate. This consisted of making a prototype, where we tested the process of signing up as a new driver.

Flyer to website

The task was to find a flyer that could be improved and then made into a website. The website had to be made with HTML and CSS and had to contain some form of Javascript.

Master's thesis

My Master's thesis was to investigate the user experience of the iRacing interfaces and find elements that could be improved. The thesis consisted of heuristic research and interviews of users with various viewpoints and experiences with iRacing.
